Business Objects (or Cognos) Software Specialist - Akron, OH - 70 to 75K + bonus - no relo; no sponsorship. As an experienced Software Specialist in business objects you will be responsible for the analysis, design, and development of enterprise reports for business users including, but not limited to; Business Objects XI R2 Desktop Intelligence and Web Intelligence reports and Universe design. This position is for you if you have: Strong customer focus Good problem-solving abilities Excellent communication skills and people skills Enjoy a fast-paced environment Additional skills Business Analysis Skills: Able to gather business requirements and implement reporting solutions based on those defined requirements. Software Development Experience – Detailed knowledge of a broad range of technologies. Business Objects XI R2 development experience preferred, data management & warehousing background preferred. Systems Integration – Ability to develop standard interfaces between new and existing technologies. Project Management Skills – Ability to manage medium to large projects or phases of complex projects. Fully understands project methodology. Critical Thinking Skills - Has the ability to independently solve complex problems; uses experience and comparison in forming opinions; seeks consensus where appropriate; maintains objectivity; justifies key results and procedures with clear data/facts. Education/Experience Bachelors Degree Five years minimum related experience
