Senior Sales Engineer/Sales Application Engineer, EDA Software - Macedonia, OH - No relo; no sponsorship - Salary commensurate on experience - competitive - Will also consider someone in the Chicagoland area who could work from home office Job Overview: Technical resource supporting sales of advanced market-leading CAE/CAD software and Engineering Services to top technology companies. Job Functions: Master the CAE and CAD tools offered by company. Prior experience with DxDesigner (Viewdraw), DxDatabook, HyperLynx, Model Sim, PADS preferred. Maintain competency in relevant technologies, including schematic capture, VHDL, simulation, synthesis, high speed design and signal integrity, PCB layout, and processes including engineering information systems, documentation, manufacturing and test, MRP, etc. Work with software vendors to keep current with product capabilities, problems and solutions, and to expedite customer needs and request. Assist pre-sales account development with technology qualification, presentations, demonstrations, etc. Perform engineering process and information system requirements assessments for customers, develop software and consulting deployment plans and proposals. Provide post-sales delivery of installation, consulting, custom programming, training, and technical support, for complete engineering solutions. Provide training for customers for the products provided by company, develop and improve training curriculum and materials. Promote sales of engineering and product design services. Assist with project engineering tasks as required to keep your skills honed, and to meet customer commitments. Travel as required across a 9 state territory to perform the functions listed above. Approximate travel 50 to 60% Requirements: Minimum BSEE, BSCE or similar technical degree. 3 years minimum prior EDA Application Engineer experience. 5 years prior electronics design experience. Prior technical support and training experience desired. Locate in Cleveland, Ohio area strongly preferred. Possible other location in N.Central / Midwest possible.
